Responsibilities

Foster a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven workplace culture
Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
Ensure all team members are compliant with OLCC and company policies
Maintain exceptional customer service standards and create a welcoming, informative environment
Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and in compliance with policies
Oversee implementation of customer loyalty programs and promote team engagement in education and upselling
Manage daily store operations including scheduling, opening/closing procedures, and shift oversight
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the store
Ensure all operations are fully compliant with Oregon cannabis laws and OLCC regulations
Prepare and manage staff schedules for optimal coverage and labor efficiency
Meet or exceed sales goals, KPIs, and profitability targets
Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales to identify trends and opportunities
Oversee accurate cash handling procedures, including register and safe reconciliations
Supervise inventory intake, audits, and reconciliation in METRC and POS systems
Collaborate with purchasing to ensure proper stock levels, product diversity, and vendor management
Maintain 100% compliance with METRC and state cannabis tracking requirements
Perform regular compliance reviews and update SOPs as needed
Represent The Herb Center brand with professionalism and integrity
Engage with customers and the community to promote awareness and trust
Requirements
~1 min readMinimum 2–3 years of retail management experience, cannabis preferred
OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit required
Strong knowledge of Oregon cannabis compliance and METRC
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Must be 21+ with the ability to pass background checks as required by state law
