Materials Manager - York, NE

Directly supervises employees in the Purchasing Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Minimum experience of 8-10 year's working Material Manager role including each of the reporting areas, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Production Planning, and Shipping and Receiving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel.
• Understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems.
• Understanding of forecasting and budgeting
• Must be able to meet deadlines, multi task and work under pressure.
• Prior experience utilizing an ERP system and knowledge of the Navision ERP system is a plus.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
