Masi Agricola is one of Italy’s most storied wine estates, crafting Amarone and other Valpolicella wines since 1772. Known for their Appassimento method and exceptional back-vintage collection, Masi wines are synonymous with quality, heritage, and innovation.
The Fine Wine Ambassador will represent Masi across Ontario, sharing its history, tasting experience, and brand story with sommeliers, wine directors, and private collectors.
Role Overview
This is a relationship-driven, brand-focused role. The Fine Wine Ambassador is responsible for education, advocacy, and premium brand building within Ontario’s fine wine community. The right candidate thrives on in-person engagement, storytelling, and building genuine connections across the trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and host vertical tastings, fine wine dinners, and educational seminars for sommeliers, wine directors, and private clients
- Represent Masi at select industry events, trade tastings, and lifestyle activations
- Maintain and grow a personal network of Ontario’s wine professionals, tracking placements and market insights
- Support and coordinate Masi leadership visits, including schedules, guest lists, and tastings
- Travel within Ontario and across Canada as required, with occasional international travel to support brand events and educational programs
- Maintain accurate records of account activities, tastings, and network interactions
Qualifications
Required:
- WSET Level 3, ISG, CMS, or equivalent sommelier accreditation
- Established network within Ontario’s fine dining and luxury hospitality trade
- Strong tasting skills with ability to identify common wine faults and assess vintages confidently
- Excellent public speaking and storytelling skills; comfortable presenting in person
- GTA residency with valid driver’s license and passport
- English fluency; additional languages (French, Italian, Mandarin) considered an asset
- Flexibility to prioritize key Masi commitments and events
- Flexibility for evening and weekend engagements to represent the brand at key trade and client events
Preferred / Advantageous:
- Experience in fine dining, wine education, or luxury hospitality
- Teaching or lecturing experience in wine programs
- Authentic social media presence reflecting passion for food, wine, or Italian culture
- Connection to Ontario’s private collector and luxury buyer community
