Position: Marketing Associate
Reporting to: Portfolio & Marketing Manager
Location: Burnaby, BC (candidate must be located within the Greater Vancouver area)
Status: Full-Time

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Marketing Associate to support the Portfolio & Marketing Manager and work closely with the Sales & Marketing Coordinator. This newly created role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is passionate about event coordination, brand support, data analysis, and the wine & beverage industry.

The Marketing Associate will provide administrative, marketing, and analytical support across a variety of initiatives including supplier visits, special events, social media coordination, reporting, sales analysis, website updates, and point-of-sale materials management.

Key Responsibilities
Event & Supplier Support
•    Coordinate and manage special events, tastings, trade shows, and supplier visits 
•    Prepare detailed supplier itineraries, meeting schedules, and travel logistics 
•    Assist with event execution, setup, and follow-up 
•    Coordinate sample shipments and POS materials for events and customer requests 

Marketing & Communications
•    Support social media content coordination and scheduling 
•    Create and adapt marketing materials using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite 
•    Assist with media and influencer outreach and coordination 
•    Update and maintain marketing plans and budgets 
•    Manage and update company website content as required 
•    Assist in sourcing and coordinating POS materials for events, BCLS programs, and sales initiatives 
•    Support the development of presentations, promotional materials, newsletters, and sales support tools 
•    Provide backup support for the Sales & Marketing Coordinator 

Reporting & Administrative Support
•    Analyze sales performance data and identify trends, opportunities, and insights for suppliers reports and internal meetings
•    Assist in preparing data-driven presentations, summaries, and business reviews for supplier and buyer meetings 
•    Prepare monthly pricing communications for BCLS buyers 
•    Assist in preparing quarterly business reviews and reports for BCLS buyers 
•    Prepare CETA and OCM reports 
•    Provide general administrative support to the marketing and sales teams 
•    Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned by Management 

Qualifications & Skills
•    3 - 5 years of experience in the wine, beverage, hospitality, CPG, or related industry 
•    3+ years of experience in a marketing, event coordination, administration, or brand support role 
•    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and identify trends and opportunities 
•    Experience preparing reports, presentations, and business reviews using sales and market data 
•    Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator preferred) 
•    Strong graphic design and layout skills with an eye for branding consistency 
•    Familiarity with social media platforms and website content management 
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
•    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
•    Experience working with suppliers, agencies, or retail partners is considered an asset
