Chimera Enterprises International is seeking a Staff Officer II to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (OUSD(I&S)), Operational Support and International Partnerships (OSIP), in Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) Deterrence efforts.
Description
The ideal candidate will provide analytical, policy, and operational support to senior leadership on strategic deterrence, counter-proliferation, and intelligence integration initiatives. This position requires a motivated professional with experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) missions, capable of operating in a high-tempo, senior-level staff environment.
Mission
To support OUSD(I&S) leadership by delivering expert-level analysis, coordination, and staff support for WMD deterrence, intelligence policy development, and cross-domain mission integration across the DoD and Intelligence Community.

TOP SECRET (SCI eligibility required)

JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide subject matter support on strategic deterrence and WMD counter-proliferation, including preparation of briefings and staff packages for senior leadership.
  • Assist in the development of policy and guidance for intelligence support to Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3).
  • Support analysis and integration of intelligence activities aligned to the National Defense Strategy and senior DoD priorities.
  • Evaluate emerging commercial technologies for application in counter-WMD and deterrence missions.
  • Develop and coordinate staffing packages for senior-level review and approval, including time-sensitive actions.
  • Represent the organization in interagency meetings, conferences, and working groups; prepare meeting minutes, reports, and recommendations.
  • Assist in developing processes, frameworks, and governance structures across DoD and IC organizations, including application of Title 10 and Title 50 authorities.
  • Provide technical mission integration support across DoD and IC stakeholders.
  • Support the creation of data analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to inform leadership decision-making.
  • Provide analytical and operational support to a senior executive-level staff directorate, including strategic planning, policy coordination, and oversight activities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Familiarity with DoD and Intelligence Community structures, missions, and policies.
  • Understanding of strategic deterrence, WMD threats, and counter-proliferation efforts.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership with briefings, executive correspondence, and staffing packages.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Knowledge of NC3 systems, intelligence support frameworks, or related mission areas (preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a high-tempo environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and briefings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in National Security, International Affairs, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience supporting DoD, IC, or national security programs.
  • Clearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
