Responsibilities

→Provide one-on-one mentorship to at-risk youth, focusing on reducing the risk of out-of-home placement
→Work collaboratively with youth and families to identify strengths, set achievable goals, and strengthen connections to school, community, and family.
→Support youth in developing independent life skills and building natural support networks.
→Facilitate access to community-based resources, including mental health services, substance abuse treatment, employment opportunities, and pro-social activities.
→Leverage familiarity with local communities to ensure services are relevant, culturally sensitive and address Social Determinants of Health.
→Act as a positive role model and advocate, helping youth navigate challenges and improve their quality of life.

Requirements

1+ year experience in child welfare, juvenile justice, or community engagement services strongly preferred
Driver's License and ability to maintain insurability throughout employment required
