The Controller, Family Office is responsible for the financial management, accounting, treasury coordination, tax support, and operational administration of a portfolio of private entities, partnerships, trusts, family office structures, and affiliated investment holdings. This role oversees day-to-day accounting activities, liquidity management, capital transactions, tax coordination, financial reporting, and special projects while serving as a key liaison to internal stakeholders and external advisors. The Controller ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and effective administration of complex ownership and investment structures.

Maintain the books and records for multiple entities, partnerships, trusts, and ownership structures.

Serve as primary administrator for NetSuite and drive process improvements

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.

Prepare and review financial statements, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting across all assigned entities.

Maintain annual trial balances and supporting documentation.

Coordinate annual audits and other financial reporting requirements.

Monitor cash positions and liquidity requirements across multiple entities.

Coordinate capital contributions, distributions, and intercompany transactions.

Review and process capital call requests and funding requirements.

Assess anticipated cash requirements related to tax payments, investments, and distributions.

Facilitate wire transfers and related cash management activities.

Maintain ownership schedules, capital account records, partnership allocations, governing documents, and organizational records across all entities and investment structures.

Coordinate with external CPAs and tax advisors regarding entity, partnership, trust, and individual tax matters.

Review annual 1040 and other tax filings prepared by external providers.

Coordinate quarterly estimated tax payments.

Oversee financial administration related to privately held real estate assets.

Coordinate property tax payments, insurance matters, and related financial obligations.

Partner with internal and external teams to ensure proper accounting and reporting of asset activity.

Manage annual K-1 collection, tracking, review, and distribution to ownership and other stakeholders.

Monitor recurring regulatory and administrative obligations across all entities.

All other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 7 years of accounting, finance, family office, private company, or investment management experience.

CPA designation strongly preferred.

Public accounting experience preferred.

Experience with NetSuite as an end-user required.

Experience with partnerships, trusts, private investment structures, and multi-entity accounting.

Experience supporting high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private businesses, or investment organizations preferred.

Real estate, private equity, or alternative investment experience preferred.

Strong accounting and financial management expertise with exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities across complex entity structures.

Demonstrated ownership mentality and accountability for financial accuracy and timeliness.

Strong relationship-building skills with principals, executives, advisors, and service providers.

Proven ability to exercise discretion and handle highly confidential information.

Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity around AI with experience enhancing processes, controls, and reporting.
