The Project Coordinator Intern will support strategic initiatives at the intersection of project management, data, technology, and business operations. Working alongside project managers, data analysts, and business and technical stakeholders, the intern will help coordinate projects, support firm-wide programs, develop reporting for senior leadership, and contribute to AI engagement and adoption initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience with planning and executing complex programs across the front and back office of a leading investment management firm.

  • Coordinate a project from planning through completion by organizing contributors, maintaining the project plan, tracking milestones and risks, and following up on deliverables with guidance from experienced project managers.
  • Support delivery on some of the firm’s largest strategic programs, such as data modernization, by coordinating workstreams, gathering and documenting business requirements and process flows, and helping keep timelines and deliverables on track.
  • Develop and help build data and reporting for senior leadership—turning program and operational data into clear dashboards, status reporting, and compelling narratives and visualizations that help inform decisions.
  • Support AI engagement and enablement initiatives—helping roll out AI tools across teams, gathering and documenting use cases, and supporting adoption and change management.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project charters, requirements documents, process maps, meeting minutes, and action items, to ensure clarity and accountability.
  • Gain hands-on exposure across real estate, infrastructure, and credit, learning how a diversified alternatives asset manager operates end-to-end.
  • Required

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Business, Finance, or a related quantitative or analytical field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Comfort working with data and translating it into insights, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical audiences.
  • Genuine interest in project management, business operations, and how large organizations plan and execute complex, data-driven initiatives, along with a curiosity about AI and how modern tools are applied to real business problems.
  • Preferred

  • Exposure to project management concepts, methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum, Waterfall), or tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Asana, Monday) through coursework, clubs, or prior internships.
  • Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Domo, Power BI, Tableau) and the Microsoft Office Suite, or a strong aptitude and eagerness to learn them quickly.
  • Prior internship, research, or leadership experience in financial services, investment management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with people across different teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and comfortable handling ambiguity.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with intellectual curiosity, high standards, and a proactive, self-directed approach to open-ended problems.
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals across the firm.
  • Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law.
