Senior Relationship Manager - Director

The Relationship Manager is a senior-level position responsible for acting as a strategic advisor to our Platinum and Priority Institutional clients. The RM will originate, cultivate and strengthen these relationships, identify new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth within this target client list. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, strong business acumen, and exceptional relationship management skills. A good understanding of the industry, direct competitors' products and services, is necessary, to contribute to the commercial objectives of the business. Excellent communication skills required, to negotiate internally and externally, often at a senior level. Responsibilities: * Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective client accounts * Develop and execute account plans to maximize revenue generation and improve wallet share via cross-sell. * Build focused relationship strength with key decision makers, introduce key sales/trading resources, and institutionalize the Citi relationship with Institutional Clients * Strengthen connectivity between senior management and client seniors for maximum relationship impact * Make Citi navigable for clients acting as a central point of contact, offer clients solutions to capture business opportunities and introduce product innovations to clients * Close out performance gaps for existing businesses and educate clients with respect to the changing regulatory requirements * Lead strong governance and controls * Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure * Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics * Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation * Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services * Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you * Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe * Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
