Dry van freight demand and strong dispatch coordination create a dependable opportunity for CDL-A truck drivers looking for consistent miles and predictable scheduling. Freight Network

Drivers haul regional dry van freight through established lanes serving multiple states across the Southeast. Most shipments are drop-and-hook, with occasional live unloads depending on the customer. Freight is planned in advance whenever possible, allowing drivers to transition smoothly between assignments while maintaining dependable weekly mileage.

Dispatch Planning

This position follows a structured 12-day schedule with a guaranteed 48-hour reset every other weekend. Dispatch coordinates freight to reduce unnecessary downtime and improve load continuity throughout the week. The result is a more organized operation that provides drivers with a consistent routine and reliable home time.

Equipment

Drivers operate 2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors equipped with automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, refrigerator space, and TV/microwave mounts. Preventive maintenance programs help keep equipment operating reliably while reducing unexpected downtime during trips.

Weekly Earnings & Benefits

Drivers average $1,350–$1,500 per week based on miles and experience. Detention pay is available during qualifying delays. After 6 months, drivers become eligible for medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and participation in a 401(k) retirement plan. Weekly pay is processed on a consistent schedule.

Driver Support

Approved riders and pets are welcome through the company's rider and pet program. Drivers may take assigned trucks home during resets where safe parking is available or use approved parking locations when necessary. Dispatch and maintenance teams remain available throughout each trip to assist with routing, equipment needs, and load coordination.

CDL-A Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL required.

Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience required.

Drivers must meet DOT requirements and maintain an acceptable driving and safety record.

CK Transportation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
