This position is part of our PRIME division, operating under the S&S Activewear parent company. PRIME plays a key role in delivering specialized solutions while aligning with the broader mission and values of S&S Activewear.

The Production Control Clerk serves as the liaison between our Customer and our Production operation. To be effective, the Production Control Clerk, fluent communication and positive relations with all internal levels of the organization is imperative. Production Control Clerk will be responsible for executing all changes to orders in the Warehouse, Production and Shipping departments. The role will be responsible for coordinating daily with Production department supervisors, Schedulers, Order Management, Sales and Customer Service.

Monday - Friday (full time, non-exempt)

• →Primary contact for Customer Service, Inside Sales, Order Management and Art questions
• →Monitor the production Changes Inbox constantly to execute changes and assist internal customers
• →Ensure changes sent to Production Changes Pending inbox are being made and paperwork for orders on the production floor updated as needed
• →Review reports for orders not on press. Work with the warehouse to get the order to the floor, partner with customer facing teams where client contact is needed
• →Review Scheduled Orders for nonstandard ship methods, ensuring those order types are noticed and prioritized accordingly.
• →Proactively communicate to Customer Service the need for Customer notification of delayed orders
• →Effectively communicate any customer-related issues to applicable departments or Sales Reps. Issues could be component problems, missed shipments, or schedule changes.
• →Work closely with other planner/schedulers to ensure there are no scheduling gaps
• →Cross train as a backup Scheduler to understand the role and fill personnel voids. Verify accuracy of production on machine.

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.

The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
