About the Role
~1 min readThe Trainer will train and develop new and existing warehouse employees on standard operating procedures and safety processes and procedures. The Trainer and all employees at S&S Activewear and all employees must adhere to the guidelines presented in the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Training and development of warehouse staff by teaching and enforcing SOP's
- →Responsible for stock chaser/ Equipment training and Certification safety and operation.
- →Provide the company tour to new employees
- →Responsible for Evaluate / Audit employees in training and communicate issues ASAP.
- →Identify training needs and communicate them to the training coordinator
- →Troubleshoot issues with tablets.
- →Document the training by completing all required paperwork
- →Perform other duties as assigned
- →Act professionally and remain focused while working
- →Safely operate all warehouse equipment
- →Perform cleaning activities as required
- →Follow and promote all safety rules, maintain a safe warehouse.
- →Maintain a positive attitude
- →Additional responsibilities as assigned by management
- Must be in good standing
- Excellent attendance and performance
- Training experience of 2 years in a team-oriented workplace, preferred.
- Good interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching and development skills
- Ability to communicate and explain processes effectively
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to coach and develop team members to achieve company goals
- Basic computer skills
- People oriented
- Detail oriented
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule and ability to work overtime when required
- Bilingual preferred but not required
Must be able to wear proper safety equipment (safety toe shoes, bump caps and safety vest). PPE is company-provided with a $100 stipend on safety-toe shoes after 90 days of employment.
In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand-eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.
- The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool.
- The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise.
- Employee must be able to work in a high-volume, high-demand environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines.
- Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
