JFED Security, LLC of New Jersey and Delaware is an agency under the umbrella of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey (JFSNJ). The security company began as a department of the Federation before rapid growth and opportunity advanced the entity and culminated with JFED Security becoming an agency in the Federation portfolio. JFED Security is now the Community Security Partner covering the following Jewish Federations: JFSNJ; Federation of Somerset, Hunterdon, & Warren (SHAW) Counties; Federation of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, Federation of Princeton Mercer Bucks; Federation of Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties; Federation of Ocean County; and the Federation of Delaware.

JFED Security began by offering threat assessments and guard services to JFSNJ and its associated properties. Along with completing Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessments of our partner facilities, JFED Security now deploys guards to Community Centers, Synagogues, and numerous day schools in the region. As the agency expanded, a Training Cadre was formed and now offers training on numerous topics including Situational Awareness and Response to an Active Threat, Stop the Bleed, and CPR certification to staff members of our partner agencies.

JFED Security has also established a private, open-source Intelligence Center that will research and produce analytic reports and tactical alerts in a fast-paced environment. This service is an extremely important partner in the security function as it can assist in developing strategic plans to tackle current problems and prepare for future or anticipated ones. The JFED Security Intelligence Center will provide information to institutions in both New Jersey and Delaware as well as share information with other established intelligence centers in New York, Ohio, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.

The security officer is responsible for providing security to the JFED Security Locations, to maintain a safe and secure environment for members, students, visitors, and staff by patrolling and monitoring the premises and personnel.
