AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. A Reporting and Information Services Technician (RISC) Trainee will provide professional, courteous service to employers, injured workers, and associates. A Trainee will achieve training goals to demonstrate proficiency in all functions of the RISC Team including: claims receptionist, first report of injury, mail, employer informational packets, and claim files.
Qualifications:
The Reporting and Information Services Technician Trainee must be detail oriented and dedicated to quality task completion. The Trainee must be flexible, self-motivated, and demonstrate strong commitment to organizational goals and objectives. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required:
- Flexibility with schedule rotation, including 6 am to 3 pm, 8 am to 5 pm, and 10 am to 7 pm as well as rotating lunch schedules
- High School Diploma or equivalent formal education
- Ability to compose short written responses using basic rules of grammar and correct spelling
- Clear and concise oral communication
- Professional comportment with a strong sense of customer service
- Experience in a customer service, call center, or clerical/office assistant position
Responsibilities:
- Develop proficiency in the use of all applications utilized by the team
- Deliver excellent customer service to customers and associates
- Project a positive and professional image when interacting with all AMERISAFE personnel and customers
- Complete all tasks in accordance with established Sarbanes Oxley Work Flows
- Provide assistance to team members as needed to ensure team goals and objectives are met
- Follow all rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines of AMERISAFE and of the Claims Department
- Attend training classes, workshops, and seminars as directed
- Maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with company policy
- Performance of additional duties may be required as directed by the supervisor
- Punctuality, attendance and team participation are essential functions of the job
- Foster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and service.
Upon an offer and acceptance of employment with AMERISAFE, you will be required to complete our pre-employment screening, which includes a criminal background check, a 10-panel drug test and, if applicable, a review of your motor vehicle report. A 10-panel drug test includes amphetamine/methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine metabolite (BZE), marijuana metabolite (THCA), methadone, methaqualone, codeine/morphine, phencyclidine, propoxyphene.
