JOB ROLES:

The Regional Executive Director (RED) serves as the senior leader responsible for the overall performance and culture of all campuses within an assigned region. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the RED provides strategic direction and hands-on support to campus principals, ensuring consistent implementation of SST Schools' academic, operational, and financial standards. This role is accountable for driving student achievement, developing campus leadership, and building a high-performing region aligned with SST Schools' mission.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree required

  • Principal Certification and Experience Preferred

  • Superintendent Certification Preferred

  • Minimum of ten years school leadership experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct supervision, coaching, and professional development to campus principals across the region.

  • Conduct regular campus visits to monitor school culture, instructional quality, and operational effectiveness.

  • Partner with principals to set campus goals and support the development and execution of campus improvement plans.

  • Lead talent management efforts including principal hiring, performance evaluation, and succession planning.

  • Monitor and analyze student achievement data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities across regional campuses.


  • Collaborate with the instructional leadership teams to ensure high-quality curriculum implementation.

  • Hold campus leaders accountable for meeting academic performance targets and TEA accountability standards.

  • Support the rollout and fidelity of SST Schools; instructional frameworks and teacher evaluation systems.

  • Ensure full compliance with TEA regulations, SST Schools policies, and all applicable state and federal requirements.

  • Oversee the implementation of operational procedures, safety protocols, and facilities management practices across regional campuses.

  • Conduct regular operational audits and work with campus leadership to address deficiencies promptly.

  • Support campus leaders in managing enrollment, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day school operations.

  • Review campus budgets and monitor expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility and alignment with regional financial goals.

  • Ensure campuses comply with SST Schools' purchasing policies, grant requirements, and financial reporting obligations.

  • Support principals in resource allocation decisions that maximize student outcomes within budget parameters.

  • Serve as the primary conduit between central administration and campus leadership for policy rollout and communication.

  • Collaborate with department heads in HR, Finance, and Academics to align regional practices with organizational standards.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, community partners, and local stakeholders within the region.

  • Represent SST Schools at regional community events, board meetings, and external partner engagements as needed.

  • Address escalated concerns from campus communities in a timely, professional, and solution-focused manner.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.


WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.

  • Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.

  • Position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.

  • Moderate travel is required.
