About the Role
~1 min readClarity Pediatrics is seeking a licensed Behavioral Health Assessment Clinician to join our remote, multidisciplinary team.
In this specialized role, you will exclusively provide behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and their families, with a primary focus on ADHD and anxiety. You’ll gather and synthesize clinical information, evaluate diagnostic criteria and functional impairment, identify safety concerns and relevant differential diagnoses, and help families understand the most appropriate next steps in care.
This role is designed for clinicians who enjoy the assessment and diagnostic process, can quickly develop rapport with children and caregivers, and are skilled at distilling complex clinical information into clear, actionable recommendations.
This position does not include an ongoing individual therapy caseload or routine group facilitation. Instead, you’ll develop deep expertise in assessment and serve as an important entry point into Clarity’s multidisciplinary care model.
Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and their caregivers, primarily related to ADHD and anxiety
Gather relevant developmental, behavioral, psychiatric, medical, family, school, and psychosocial history to inform clinical formulation
Assess symptom severity, functional impairment, diagnostic criteria, and relevant differential diagnoses
Integrate clinical interview data, standardized measures, collateral information, and available records into a clear clinical formulation
Identify and appropriately assess safety concerns, including completing additional risk assessment and safety planning when indicated
Provide families with clear, evidence-based treatment recommendations and next steps, including Clarity services and referrals to outside providers or higher levels of care when appropriate
Communicate clinical findings and recommendations in a way that is accessible, compassionate, and actionable for families
Complete timely, accurate, and high-quality clinical documentation
Collaborate with Clarity’s behavioral health, medical, and care coordination teams to support appropriate care transitions
Apply Clarity’s assessment protocols consistently while using sound clinical judgment when presentations are complex or fall outside standard pathways
Participate in consultation, training, calibration, and ongoing quality improvement to strengthen the consistency and quality of Clarity’s assessment model
You’re a licensed mental health professional with either:
A master’s degree in a relevant behavioral health field and active licensure as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC; or

You’re currently licensed in California and open to getting licensed in other states (we’ll support you with that!)
You have experience assessing children and adolescents and working with parents and caregivers
You have a strong foundation in diagnostic assessment, clinical formulation, differential diagnosis, and treatment planning
You have experience assessing and treating pediatric ADHD and/or anxiety

You’re able to efficiently synthesize information from multiple sources and identify the most clinically relevant information
You have experience administering and interpreting standardized behavioral health screening or assessment measures
You communicate clinical findings clearly and can help families understand complex behavioral health concepts without overwhelming them
