Accounting Manager

Position Objective/Summary:   Responsible for the overall management of the Accounting Department.  Will be the key finance team member responsible for managing the U.S. monthly close process, assisting with SEC reporting, and developing staff members in order to build scale and leverage to support a growing business.   Essential Functions: Manage an accurate and timely domestic accounting close including preparation and review of accruals and account reconciliations Responsible for the preparation of Sales and Use taxes, as well as Tangible and Intangible tax returns Responsible to maintain fixed assets Responsible for the reconciliation’s of intercompany account receivables Responsible for the management of CLARK Rental Systems Responsible for directing and coordinating the work of a number of accounting associates in all aspects of accounting Prepare monthly financial and various detailed analyses. Assist with SEC reporting and financial statement preparation Provide technical accounting research and accounting implementation guidance Drive continuous improvement of internal policies, processes and controls Improve and develop internal financial reports Work closely with public accountants during quarterly reviews and annual audit Work on ad hoc projects for VP of Finance Will be responsible for various special projects as assigned   Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years of experience managing an accounting department CPA Required Proven supervisory experience Superior experience with Microsoft Office Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional written and verbal communication skills   Working Conditions:   The incumbent is located in an office environment with regulated heating and cooling.  Work involves using the telephone, computer equipment, viewing a monitor, using a printer, fax machine, etc.
