Job description
The role involves supporting day‑to‑day shop operations with a focus on servicing fire extinguishers and ensuring smooth workflow across the branch. This includes inspecting, repairing, and recharging fire extinguishers and related equipment, performing hydrostatic testing on fire hoses, assisting on‑road technicians, and managing pickups, deliveries, and inventory. The position requires strong attention to detail, comfort working in a fast‑paced environment, familiarity with hand tools, and the ability to complete respirator fit testing. The ideal candidate is punctual, self‑motivated, and eager to learn.
Duties and Requirements will include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform scheduled servicing, repair, and recharging of hand portable fire extinguishers, wheeled units, and kitchen suppression cylinders.
- Perform hydrostatic testing and repair of fire hoses.
- Assist on-road technicians with a various assortment of required work.
- Perform deliveries/pickup at customer locations and suppliers where required.
- Picking orders to prepare for shipping.
- Receive and put stock away in designated areas.
- Maintain general cleanliness throughout the shop and work area.
- Perform pickups and deliveries to other branches of Classic Fire Protection Inc.
- Order stock items from suppliers where required.
- Repair service equipment where required.
- Comply with the company dress code policy.
- Respirator Fit testing is required(Must be clean shaven for this test)
- Must be punctual, self-motivated and have a good command of the English language.
- Must have a clean driving abstract.
- Must have knowledge of hand tools needed to perform the work required.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to navigate throughout the GTA.
- Flexible start and end times to accommodate the needs of our customers.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn new materials.
- Valid G class drivers’ license with a clean driver abstract
Physical Requirements:
- Standing
- Driving (city and highway)
- Noise, light and elements exposure
- Sitting

- Bending / Stooping
- Lifting (1 to 40 lbs)
- Carrying (1 to 40 lbs)
