Position Summary:
The Sr. SEO & Web Specialist will be the driving force behind our organic growth and online user experience. This role focuses on delivering measurable ranking improvements through technical precision, analytical insights and high-performing content execution.
The role will lead the build-out of a scalable SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO/AEO) program that compounds over time. Acting as a crucial liaison between external agencies, internal web developers, and marketing stakeholders, the role will ensure our web properties are high-performing, accessible, and strategically aligned to drive organic demand at the intersection of healthcare and tech, specifically tailored for the senior demographic and aging adults.
This is a Remote/Work from Home position reporting to the Online Growth Marketing Manager.
What you will do:
Own the organic content roadmap; partner with Content Strategist, Copywriter, and Designer to publish best-in-class content that drives lead generation.
Support on-page SEO initiatives across internal WordPress and eCommerce environments, ensuring URL structures and metadata are optimized.
Track, analyze and report on SEO performance metrics using GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager and enterprise tools, highlighting technical findings, trends and growth opportunities; collaborate on quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and to highlight SEO performance, technical findings, trends, and ROI.
Lead ongoing keyword research for traditional search and emerging AI Overviews to identify high-intent opportunities and provide data-backed insights on user intent.
Write Point of View (POV) documentation to convey the "why" behind SEO trends and algorithm updates (BERT, RankBrain, Panda, etc.).
Use enterprise tools (Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) to identify and prioritize issues related to crawling, indexing, and site architecture; and perform UAT to ensure deliverable accuracy.
Partner with Web Developers to maintain best practices in schema markup, internal linking, crawl efficiency, and Core Web Vitals.
Act as the primary day-to-day SEO contact with external digital agencies, ensuring the seamless execution of technical audits and deliverables.
Work with paid search, social media, and email teams to ensure a holistic "one-marketing" approach to growth.
Continually help uncover opportunities for landing page experimentation and A/B testing; stay unafraid to challenge the status quo to improve performance.
Support the maintenance and auditing of monitoring systems to identify site structure issues that may impact organic visibility or user experience.
Serve as the SEO expert on calls, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights for the C-Suite, IT, and Finance teams.
Lead and expand link-building strategies and partnerships to improve domain authority and organic visibility.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
5+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of executing organic search campaigns
Expertise in GA4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager Expert Proficiency in Industry-Standard SEO Toolsets: Mastery of SEMrush and Ahrefs for comprehensive competitor analysis and backlink auditing; Screaming Frog for technical site crawls and architecture visualization; and Yoast SEO for advanced on-page optimization, XML sitemap management, and schema implementation.
Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
Deep proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets for data manipulation.
Proficient in monitoring brand mentions across AI platforms using tools like Nightwatch or AthenaHQ.
Experience with WordPress and support eCommerce CMS platforms.
Ability to interpret data, generate hypotheses, and use behavioral tools like heatmaps to drive conversion.
Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-directed and able to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.

Demonstrated ability to use discretion, make sound decisions, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Proficient in MS Office, modern communication tools for virtual teams (i.e., MS Teams).
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 10%); will include some overnight travel.
