Role Purpose/Summary

ClearSpace is looking for a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to advance core vision technologies across different programs. The role involves the design, development, verification, and validation of computer vision pipelines for active debris removal, in-orbit servicing, and life-extension for LEO and GEO missions.

Role Responsibilities

• Contribute to the full lifecycle of computer vision pipelines, from design and development through verification and validation, across multiple missions.
• Maintain, improve and extend the core computer vision software in C++.
• Support the development and integration of vision algorithms on low-power, space-grade hardware
• Contribute to the research & development of new technology for future missions using different types of sensors and platforms.
• Document processes, designs, and test specifications to maintain high standards.

Must have

• Classical computer vision techniques and Deep Learning (6D object pose estimation, domain adaptation)
• Single and multi-view geometry, visual odometry, camera calibration, 3D reconstruction
• Strong software engineering skills in C/C++ and Python or Matlab for prototyping.
  

Nice to have

• A plus: physically based rendering, knowledge of radiometry and photometry concepts, FPGA development/integration (Xilinx Vitis/Vivado), embedded systems.
