Feed Mill Technician (Second Shift)

The Feed Mill Technician is responsible for safely producing high-quality feed used throughout our production system. This position operates automated feed manufacturing equipment while ensuring ingredient accuracy, quality standards, equipment performance, sanitation, inventory management, and compliance with all safety and biosecurity requirements.

As a Feed Mill Technician, you’ll operate computerized production equipment to help manufacture high-quality livestock feed while maintaining safety, quality, and production standards. Our feed mills are a vital part of that mission. They manufacture and deliver the feed that supports animal health, growth, and overall production performance. By ensuring our feed mill equipment operates safely and efficiently, our maintenance team plays a direct role in supporting our farms, our farmers, and our commitment to producing quality pork for families across the country 

No two days are exactly alike. Throughout your shift, you’ll monitor computerized production systems, inspect equipment, verify ingredient accuracy, collect quality assurance samples, perform production testing, maintain inventory levels, complete documentation, and help ensure every batch of feed meets strict nutritional and quality standards.

You’ll spend your day working with modern equipment, automation technology, and manufacturing processes that directly support animal health and food production.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, production, industrial, agricultural, logistics, or distribution environments preferred, but not required
• Forklift experience preferred, but not required — training will be provided
• Experience working with computerized operating systems, automation, manufacturing equipment, or production software preferred, but not required — training will be provided
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, SOPs, and safety procedures
• Strong attendance, reliability, and communication skills

• Lift up to 80 pounds
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and reach
• Climb ladders and stairs
• Work in varying temperatures
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
