Project-Based Website Designer - Independent Contractor

Title: Project-Based Website Designer

Position Function: Changing Lives at Home Mental Health, Corp. (CLH) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Project-Based Website Designer to design, develop, and launch a professional company website. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Executive Director and the CLH team to transform website goals, branding, and content into a modern, user-friendly online presence. This is a project-based independent contractor position best suited for an individual who can manage website projects from concept through completion while meeting agreed timelines and quality standards.

Experience:

• Proven experience in website design and development
• Experience creating responsive, user-friendly websites
• Portfolio demonstrating previous website design projects
• Experience using website builders or content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or similar platforms)
• Experience collaborating with clients to gather requirements and implement revisions
• Experience working independently and managing project timelines is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strong website design and visual layout skills
• Proficiency in Wix Website Builder, including website creation, customization, and page management
• Experience designing responsive websites using Wix Editor or Wix Studio
  
• Ability to create modern, clean, and visually engaging website designs that reflect the company's brand and mission
• Strong understanding of current web design trends, user-friendly navigation, and mobile-first design principles
  
• Proficiency with website design platforms and related tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and incorporate feedback
• Ability to manage multiple revisions while maintaining project deadlines
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop the company website based on approved project goals, branding, and requirements
• Create an attractive, professional, and user-friendly website layout and navigation structure
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and project team regarding website content, design concepts, and functionality
• Build and organize the initial website pages and any additional pages requested throughout the project
• Incorporate revisions and updates based on company feedback
• Ensure the website is responsive and compatible across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• Optimize the website for usability, performance, and professional presentation
• Test website functionality and resolve design or technical issues before project completion
• Maintain project timelines and provide regular progress updates
• Utilize personal software, tools, and resources necessary to complete the project
