For 30 years, the web has run on a simple economic bargain: trading content for human attention. That attention has been monetized through advertising, subscriptions, and e-commerce. This bargain funded the Internet as we know it. 

But as agents become the dominant Internet users, the model is breaking. An agent does not look at ads or need to maintain a monthly subscription to all the tools it wants to access. It reads a page or consumes a data feed once, takes what it needs, and moves on. Across the web, AI crawlers already request content anywhere from a hundred to tens of thousands of times for every visitor they send back. We need new business models, fit for this new era. 

Cloudflare has spent years detecting bots, allowing domain owners to take control of whether bots can access them. What's been missing is the other half: how agents interact with those sites once they're let in. That's what our team, the Agentic Internet team is focused on: making the web readable, discoverable, callable, and payable. These four primitives are all built on open standards, so no single company owns the rails. • →Shape the product strategy for new Internet-scale business models
• →Deliver product specifications, prototypes, product positioning, and high-impact launches

• 5+ years as a technical PM; developer-facing experience and AI/ML preferred
• A builder: you get things done, can move quickly, and prefer ‘show’ over ‘tell’
• A strong communicator who is comfortable with ambiguity
• Technically literate — you don't need to write Rust, but you should be able to push back on a tech lead on the merits of a particular direction
• Payments, FinTech, or blockchain experience is a plus
• Team oriented - You’d rather get it right than be right

Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
