Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Bioinformatics Scientist to join our dynamic team remotely. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing biological data and developing computational tools to enhance our understanding of complex biological systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative research and contribute to our cutting-edge projects in bioinformatics.

Key Responsibilities:
- **Data Collection and Management:**
  - Collect and organize biological data from various sources, such as DNA/RNA sequencing and other high-throughput technologies.
  - Implement and maintain databases to store and manage biological data.
- **Data Preprocessing and Quality Control:**
  - Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure data quality and reliability.
  - Conduct quality control checks on datasets to identify and address any issues.
- **Sequence Analysis:**
  - Perform sequence alignment, assembly, and annotation for genomic data.
  - Analyze DNA, RNA, and protein sequences to extract meaningful biological information.
- **Statistical Analysis:**
  - Apply statistical methods to analyze experimental results and identify patterns or trends.
  - Conduct differential expression analysis for gene expression data.
- **Pathway and Systems Biology Analysis:**
  - Analyze biological pathways and networks to understand the interactions between genes, proteins, and other biomolecules.
  - Explore system-level responses in biological systems.
- **Machine Learning and Data Mining:**
  - Develop and apply machine learning algorithms to predict biological outcomes or discover patterns in large datasets.
  - Utilize data mining techniques to extract valuable insights from biological data.
- **Bioinformatics Software Development:**
  - Develop and maintain bioinformatics tools and software for data analysis.
  - Collaborate with software developers to integrate bioinformatics tools into user-friendly interfaces.
- **Collaboration and Communication:**
  - Collaborate with biologists, geneticists, and other researchers to understand project goals and requirements.
  - Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- **Stay Informed and Continuous Learning:**
  - Keep up-to-date with advancements in bioinformatics, computational biology, and related fields.
  - Attend conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- **Ethical Considerations:**
  - Adhere to ethical standards and data privacy regulations when handling sensitive biological information.
  - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- **Documentation:**
  - Document methodologies, workflows, and results to facilitate reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
  - Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:
- PhD or Master’s degree with 3 years experience in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Perl.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology and genomics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Research publications.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning and statistical modelling.
- Knowledge of database management and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience in a specific domain such as cancer genomics, microbiome analysis, or genetic disorders.

**Salary**: INR. 5-12 Lakhs Annually based on Experience
