About the Role
~1 min readThe Senior Manager, Parts Operations is responsible for leading, coordinating, and optimizing the parts management function across all Clutch facilities, while directly owning parts operations at our Mississauga Inspection Centre — our highest-volume site.
This role provides enterprise-level strategic leadership while maintaining deep, hands-on operational accountability. You will ensure standardized processes, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and cost efficiency to support production throughput, cycle time reduction, service excellence, and margin protection.
This is a high-impact leadership position for someone who is equally comfortable on the floor diagnosing a workflow issue and presenting a performance plan to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
~1 min read
- →Own the end-to-end parts function across all Clutch facilities, setting the strategy for purchasing, inventory, and distribution
- →Directly lead the Mississauga IC parts team across two shifts, with oversight of Parts Managers and Associates network-wide
- →Establish and enforce standardized processes, KPIs, and accountability structures that scale with the business
- →Maintain optimal inventory levels across locations — balancing parts availability against working capital efficiency
- →Drive measurable improvements in fill rate, turnover, shrink, and obsolescence through rigorous cycle counting and data analysis
- →Build and manage a high-performing vendor base; negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and SLAs that protect production schedules
- →Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure parts supply never limits output
- →Report performance against targets to senior leadership and lead continuous improvement initiatives across the network
- 6+ years of progressive experience in parts management, with demonstrated growth from floor-level roles into leadership — automotive parts retail or distribution background strongly preferred (e.g., high-volume parts chains, same-day service environments)
- 3+ years leading teams, ideally in a multi-location or high-volume, multi-shift environment
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of parts — you know the product, the workflow, and what good looks like on the floor
- Strong track record in inventory control, shrink management, and P&L ownership for parts operations
- Proven success in vendor negotiation and supplier management
- Experience driving standardized process implementation at scale
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP or inventory management systems
- A post-secondary degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Operations is an asset — but equivalent hands-on industry experience is equally valued
New, Permanent Full-Time
