The Role

We’re looking for a Senior.NET Engineer to join our team to help build scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions for the financial industry. As a Senior .NET Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and APIs that power our core products. You’ll collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure seamless data flow, system reliability, and efficient service integration. Your contributions will include optimizing performance, enhancing system architecture, and applying best practices in software development, security, and deployment to support rapid and reliable product delivery.

Our engineers are encouraged to challenge the status quo and are constantly seeking improvement and efficiency in our code-base and platform. CMG engineers are empowered to explore solutions using leading edge technologies such as AI and bring recommendations to the table. We are in a period of making impactful engineering decisions. As part of our process, we believe in taking the time for research and prototyping - this is critical in making the right decisions. Given the experience of our team, we have naturally adopted best practices from local development, through code review and into production rollouts. Besides the standard pull requests, test automation, code coverage tracking, containerization, and one-click deployments, we are constantly reviewing these foundational components to develop new best practices.

Operate as a product engineer focused on solving real user and business problems, not clearing a backlog. You bring ideas, challenge assumptions, and own outcomes.

Work in an AI-first development flow. Use tools like OpenAI Codex and GitHub Copilot not just to go faster, but to do more: explore multiple approaches, validate ideas quickly, and build things that previously wouldn't have been worth the effort.

Primarily focused on backend: designing, developing, and maintaining scalable services with .NET 10, ASP.NET Core, and GraphQL. Comfortable stepping into front-end work when the problem calls for it, since AI-assisted development means you don't need to be a specialist to ship quality UI.

You're aligned to a product team and typically work alongside one or two other engineers on any given project, pairing on tough problems, reviewing each other's work, and shipping together rather than in parallel.

Uphold a high quality bar. Engineers write their own tests at the unit, integration, and end-to-end levels, and every line of code, human-written or AI-assisted, is reviewed by a human before it ships.

Drive technical improvements across the codebase. Proactively identify friction, propose changes, and see them through to adoption. Be a first responder for production. Use DataDog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Microsoft Azure to quickly diagnose incidents, minimize impact, and harden the system against recurrence.

C#, ASP.NET Core: 3+ years.

Software Engineering: 5+ Years.

Must be based in LATAM.

English level - C1 or C2.

Fintech experience is a plus.

Experience developing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Latest .NET version for our backend services.

Federated GraphQL .NET server running in Hot Chocolate.

MassTransit and RabbitMQ for messaging.

Hangfire for our background processing.

Swashbuckle for swagger generation.

Redis Cache for distributed caching and real-time messaging.
