We build the solutions dreamed up by the product and design teams. Our goal is to deliver working software every two weeks. We are a large team that spans across three global offices, but we collaborate and integrate front- and back-end components and interfaces to provide a user-centred experience through web and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities
~1 min readAs a Senior PHP Developer, you are responsible for managing database operations and building high-performance, scalable APIs for the frontend. Using the Shopware ecosystem, you will architect both administration and storefront API structures to support complex e-commerce requirements.
- →Designing and implementing complex Shopware plugins, including the administrator, frontend, and API layers.
- →Developing and optimizing REST APIs, Batch Processing, and ETL jobs to ensure seamless data flow.
- →Managing migrations and automating tasks via cron jobs.
- →Ensuring the scalability and integrity of our MySQL and RDBMS operations
- →Develop testable, reusable, and efficient code, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
- →Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration between frontend and backend services.
- →Implement security protocols, data protection measures, and storage solutions to ensure application reliability and compliance.
- →Conduct diagnostic testing, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support when needed.
- →Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, and mentor junior developers.
- →Continuously improve processes, performance, and technology choices across the stack.
- →Be available occasionally to handle urgent production issues outside normal business hours.
Requirements
~1 min read- PHP & Symfony: Expert-level knowledge of PHP and the Symfony framework for backend development.
- Shopware Ecosystem: Deep architectural knowledge of Shopware; must have experience creating plugins from scratch.
- Databases: Proficiency in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL (RDBMS) and ElasticSearch (NoSQL).
- Frontend: Experience with VueJS and SCSS for modern storefront development.
- Data Engineering: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Batch Processing, and ETL workflows.
- Architecture: Strong grasp of OOP, Dependency Injection (DI), and design patterns.
- Solid understanding of API performance, data modeling, and application optimization.
- Experience working with Git-based workflows (branching, merging, pull requests, code reviews) for effective team collaboration and version control.
- Experience with secure authentication, authorization, and data protection implementations.
- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills across teams.
- Ability to recommend and implement technical and process improvements proactively.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Modern Frontend: Experience with any JS framework Next/Nuxt or library ecosystems.
- Experience working with serverless, microservices, or monorepo architectures.
- Integrations: Prior experience integrating ERP systems or Payment Gateways with Shopware.
- Architecture: Experience with headless commerce architecture and Shopware B2B modules.
