REEVES | Power Broom Operator (Asphalt Paving Crew) - Duncan, SC

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Power Broom Operator in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

• →Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine.
• →Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.
• →Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
• →Must have an understanding of brooming procedures to minimize dust contamination of the air and control damage to vehicles and property in the brooming area.
• →Must have a basic knowledge of abilities and limitations in all applications.
• →Must be able to wear safety classes and respirator at all times during brooming operations.
• →Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred), but not necessarily required.
• Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to work day or night shifts.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Provide own transportation to and from work.
• Driving License (preferred).
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

• Must be able to climb onto and up and down a machine several times a day.
• Must be able to sit in a machine and operate it for several hours without stopping.
• Must withstand vibration from job site conditions as well as noise from other equipment.
• Must be able to use arms, hands, and feet in repetitive motions.
• Must be able to perform manual duties, such as placing paint drums on the vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach and signal with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employees must have 20/40 vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses. Hearing should be excellent or corrected by audio device.
