Job Title: Industrial Tire Technician
Colony Tire is currently seeking a full-time Industrial Tire Technician to join our team in Norfolk, VA! Summary: This position involves operating industrial tire equipment in our shop and operating a forklift in our warehouse.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week + overtime as needed

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities; include, but not limited to:
- Safely operate a tire press to install, remove, and service solid industrial tires (primarily forklift tires).
- Operate a forklift.
- Properly use hydraulic press equipment and hand tools to mount and dismount industrial tires on wheels and machines, ensuring correct fitment and safe operation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations while using PPE and promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Engage in company-provided training to stay current on tire technologies, equipment use, and safety procedures.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The environment may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. Employees frequently work with dirty and greasy parts and in awkward positions. The employee must regularly lift a minimum of 75 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific visions abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. As a result, minor workplace injuries are not uncommon, but employees usually can avoid serious accidents if safe practices are observed.
Education and Requirements:
- High school or equivalency
- Valid driver’s license
