Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.

We are actively seeking an experienced Full-Time Licensed Psychological Associate to provide oversight in support Gaithersburg, MD.  The Licensed Psychological Associate will focus on developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized behavior intervention plans for residents with diverse behavioral and psychological needs. The Licensed Psychological Associate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including group home staff and healthcare professionals, to ensure the highest level of care is provided. 
 
Starting pay is $90,000/per year
 
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor behavior plans for adults in group homes.
  • Tailor each plan to address specific behavioral needs while ensuring goals are clear, measurable, and achievable
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify patterns, triggers, and the underlying causes of behaviors
  • Work with group homes staff, case managers, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective plan implementation
  • Assist in crisis situations by providing guidance on de-escalation and managing challenging behaviors
  • Make adjustments to plans as needed based on observed outcomes and ongoing assessments
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, including behavioral assessments, progress reports, behavior plans, and other required documentation
  • Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards
  • Advocate for the needs and rights of residents, ensuring they receive the necessary therapeutic services
  • Employee must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
Minimum Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related field
  • Licensure: Psychological Associate certification or licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with adults in group home settings or with individuals with developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges
  • Experience in behavior assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of behavior interventions
  • Knowledge of mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, and behavioral challenges commonly seen in residential care settings
  • Ability to conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized behavior plans
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks or criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
