We are seeking a motivated Cell Electrode Engineer to join our dynamic start-up team. This role involves hands-on work in materials selection, electrode formulation & process development, and electrochemical characterization of electrodes and cells. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, fabricate, and test lithium-ion battery cells, focusing on performance, safety, and scalability.
Responsibilities

Convert system and cell-level requirements into electrode-level requirements.

Prototype electrodes using appropriate materials to meet electrode-level requirements.

Develop electrochemical test protocols relevant to the end application.

Characterize electrodes by assembling cells and conducting electrochemical tests.

Conduct physicochemical analyses to elucidate electrode failure modes.

Scale up successful electrode formulations from the lab to the pilot line.

Synthesize experimental results and contribute to technical reports.

Drive electrode development cycles using first principles and a data-driven approach.

Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements

Familiarity with lithium-ion battery chemistry and fabrication processes.
Hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
