We are seeking a motivated Cell Electrode Engineer to join our dynamic start-up team. This role involves hands-on work in materials selection, electrode formulation & process development, and electrochemical characterization of electrodes and cells. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, fabricate, and test lithium-ion battery cells, focusing on performance, safety, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Convert system and cell-level requirements into electrode-level requirements.

  • Prototype electrodes using appropriate materials to meet electrode-level requirements.

  • Develop electrochemical test protocols relevant to the end application.

  • Characterize electrodes by assembling cells and conducting electrochemical tests.

  • Conduct physicochemical analyses to elucidate electrode failure modes.

  • Scale up successful electrode formulations from the lab to the pilot line.

  • Synthesize experimental results and contribute to technical reports.

  • Drive electrode development cycles using first principles and a data-driven approach.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with lithium-ion battery chemistry and fabrication processes.

  • Hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
