We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with a valid USCG license and a strong background in diesel-electric propulsion and dynamic positioning (DP) systems. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage all aspects of vessel engineering operations, ensure compliance with industry standards, and support our commitment to safe and efficient offshore operations.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Oversee and maintain all vessel mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on diesel-electric propulsion and DP systems.
- →Ensure compliance with USCG, ABS, and ISM regulatory standards.
- →Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on critical systems.
- →Monitor engine performance and fuel efficiency to optimize vessel operations.
- →Manage engineering crew, provide guidance, and ensure proper training.
- →Work closely with the Captain and shore-side management to ensure operational readiness.
- →Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
Requirements
~1 min read- Valid USCG Chief Engineer license (Motor Vessels).
- Extensive experience with diesel-electric propulsion systems.
- Strong understanding of dynamic positioning (DP) technology.
- Knowledge of vessel automation and control systems.
- STCW certification and valid TWIC card required.
- Previous offshore or subsea support vessel experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
