- Promotes and lives the Ag Lending Sales Culture, holding themselves and team members accountable to desired behaviors in the Culture Blueprint.
- Encourages and reinforces the value and use of the Team Relationship Model, partnering with teams across Compeer.
- Works with leaders to develop marketplace specific strategies that align with the organization’s strategic direction, vision, and short-term and long-term objectives.
- Participates in developing business expectations and goals and is responsible for communicating them to the team.
- Promotes a client focused, team-based sales strategy to maximize results.
- Aligns with other sales leaders to develop cross-selling expectations to promote all applicable products and services.
- Keeps abreast of industry best practices. Identifies and executes efficient and effective practices that enhance the team’s value.
- Promotes a positive work environment that leverages the talents and abilities of team members in achieving organizational and team goals.
- Recruits, selects, trains, evaluates, compensates, recognizes and motivates team members.
Business Development
- Develops the Ag Lending Sales culture and the Ag Lending Sales and Relationship Management approach and programs within the region.
- Focuses leaders on behaviors and activities that lead to desired results.
- Achieves business goals in terms of loans, leases, credit quality, client satisfaction, spread, and ROE.
- Develops and executes sales and marketing strategies and plans, including resource and team member needs within the region.
- Assesses new opportunities and seeks innovative methods for producing solutions to ensure organizational success.
- Understands external client needs and provides solutions to those needs.
- Effectively identifies, incorporates, and leverages technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness of sales teams.
- Ensures the team is focused on building deep, strong relationships and focused on becoming a trusted adviser in the market.
Strategic Leadership
- Participates in the development of long-term strategic business plans to achieve Compeer’s short- and long-term objectives.
- Contributes to marketplace strategies and identifies opportunities to align with Compeer’s business strategies.
- Develops strong relationships with other leaders across Compeer to enhance the Team Relationship Model.
- Serves on various formal and informal organization teams, committees, and strategic initiatives to further Compeer’s mission and vision.
Compliance
- Ensures compliance of credit administration, policies and procedures, regulations and requirements.
- Addresses corrective actions identified through internal or external audits.
- Manages the budget for marketing and line of business profitability.
- Leads data reporting concepts to assist the team in monitoring success.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Identifies and assesses industry trends.
- Determines the strategic and operational impact of trends.
- Builds and maintains knowledge and skills sufficient to achieve Compeer goals within area of responsibility.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, agribusiness or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Expert-level experience in the agriculture or financial services industry.
- Advance-level leadership and management experience.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to drive innovation and adapt to changing business needs.
- Knowledge of collateral evaluation methods and sales management techniques.
- Strong understanding of the agriculture industry and familiarity with the local marketplace.
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical practices.
- Strong skills in negotiation, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational management.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and represent the business in a professional manner.

The actual title and base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for variable compensation and other benefits.
