Compliance Management International (CMI) is seeking a Construction Safety Specialist to support construction of a cold storage facility in Fredericksburg, PA. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices while working closely with project managers, engineers, and third-party construction managers.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual, familiar with ammonia refrigerated systems and ASRS construction.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Oversee safety compliance and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- →Conduct hazard assessments and implement corrective actions.
- →Support pre-task planning, hazardous work permitting, and site safety documentation.
- →Ensure proper use of fall protection, machine guarding, and electrical safety measures.
- →Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and third-party construction management.
- →Conduct daily safety reports and incident documentation.
- →Train and guide workers on safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
- →Identify and mitigate language barriers and cultural safety gaps with international contractors.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience in construction of automated storage and retrieval systems a plus
- Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish a plus
- Excellent communication and soft skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced, high-demand project schedule.
Requirements
~1 min read- Prolonged standing and walking on uneven terrain.
- Capability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and crawl as necessary.
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds as part of job duties.
- OSHA 30 Construction (within the last 5 years).
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required.
