We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support our Engineering and Product Development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and automating test strategies across web, mobile, and API-based applications while ensuring overall product quality and release readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Support Quality Engineering teams in a disciplined Agile development environment.
  • Research, analyze, and document testing findings and quality metrics.
  • Test complex web, mobile, and API-based applications integrated with backend database systems.
  • Create, maintain, and execute manual and automated test cases and test suites.
  • Review, diagnose, reproduce, and verify reported defects and bug fixes.
  • Derive testing requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automated testing frameworks and test suites.
  • Implement automated testing within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Ensure automated tests provide timely and actionable feedback to development teams.
  • Continuously improve test coverage and automation efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain software quality artifacts, including:
    • Test Plans
    • Test Cases
    • Test Procedures
    • Test Reports
  • Plan and manage testing schedules in alignment with project timelines and delivery commitments.
  • Review software documentation for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and collaborate with development teams on solutions.
  • Perform historical analysis of test results and quality metrics.
  • Track quality trends and recommend process improvements.
  • Identify deviations from established software quality standards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and define quality standards, methodologies, and release readiness criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide feedback on application usability, functionality, and user experience.
  • Influence team decisions by presenting testing insights, quality findings, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate issues and recommend solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience testing:
    • Web Applications
    • Mobile Applications
    • APIs
    • Database-driven systems
  • Strong defect tracking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, Swagger, etc.).
  • Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database testing.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
