Band Operator

We are looking for a BAND OPERATOR to join our Charlotte,  NC  plant.  As a large equipment operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

• →Received instructions and schedules from plant supervision.
• →Adheres to Contech’s Employee Expectations.
• →Completes pre-shift daily audit.
• →Selects correct sheet type/length based off of daily band schedule.
• →Operates Forklift, coil buggy, or overhead crane to position sheets at rolls.
• →Adjusts rolls to form correct diameter.
• →Feeds band sheet into roll form.
• →Spot welds or hand welds various types of fasteners to formed band sheet.
• →Paints welds if necessary.
• →Moves finished product to designated areas.
• →Completes production/quality control paperwork.
• →Completes post-shift daily paperwork.
• →Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• →Other duties assigned.

• Ability to work with precision instruments.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
