The Senior Salesforce Health Cloud Data Engineer is pivotal in designing and developing ETL jobs and data integrations. This role encompasses the full systems development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, data analysis, system design, development, implementation, and post-implementation support. Working closely with Salesforce Architects and Application Development teams, the engineer ensures seamless bidirectional ETL movement of data using Salesforce Data Loader and Azure Tools, adhering to HIPAA, privacy, and federal security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Salesforce Architects to create data models for Salesforce repositories aligning with solution architecture.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Salesforce HealthCloud application.
  • Ingest, validate, and process incoming data, applying business rules and integrating within Salesforce.
  • Develop and coordinate unit and integration test plans; conduct testing and evaluate results.
  • Analyze, design, and develop code for Salesforce data integration activities with third-party applications.
  • Implement changes and provide user and system support post-implementation.
  • Identify and advocate for beneficial change opportunities, providing data-driven insights.
  • Evaluate and resolve critical data issues, ensuring compliance with security policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent database development experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to receive a favorable DoD background investigation.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure.
  • 3+ years of experience developing data integration source code in SQL or equivalent.
  • Experience in ETL with both structured and semi-structured data.
  • Experience gathering business requirements from cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes and DevOps.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of experience with Databricks, Python, Data Governance, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft SSIS, SQL Server, and Snowflake in Azure Cloud.
  • Works non-standard hours as required.
  • Standard office environment with less than 10% travel.
  • Extensive computer work with prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Remote work eligible per TriWest telecommuting policy with periodic office attendance as needed.
