About the Position
The Nurse Manager at COPE Health Solutions is a registered nurse who bridges clinical practice with administrative leadership. This position oversees the daily operations of an Enhanced Care Management (ECM) clinical team, including nursing and social work staff. The Nurse Manager coordinates patient care, ensures compliance with healthcare regulations and ECM program requirements, and works collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational and contractual goals.
Position Details
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Interview, hire, onboard, supervise, and evaluate direct-care clinicians. Develop staff schedules and assign personnel to patient cases based on member needs and team capacity.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor patient care to ensure safety and quality. Conduct audits to confirm that charting and clinical documentation comply with applicable regulatory requirements, including Medicare and state agency standards.
- Operations and Budgeting: Develop and oversee departmental budgets, manage medical supply inventory, and provide direct patient care during emergencies when necessary.
- Patient and Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Address concerns from patients and their families and serve as a liaison between clinical staff and senior management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team members to address member care needs, participate in case reviews, assess ECM case acuity, and support the development and implementation of appropriate care management strategies.
- Interdisciplinary Care Team Meetings: Schedule and facilitate weekly Interdisciplinary Care Team (ICT) meetings. Coordinate case presentations and member success stories to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, clinical learning, and the sharing of best practices.
- Comprehensive Member Assessment Review: Review Comprehensive Member Assessments to ensure accuracy, timely completion, regulatory compliance, and alignment with ECM program standards and individualized care plans.
- Clinical Office Hours: Attend and actively participate in required clinical office hours with contracted health plans to support care coordination, clinical collaboration, and program compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher.
- Five to ten years of clinical nursing experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience in care management and supervising a care management team.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications.
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification.

- Leadership: Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate nursing and clinical teams in high-pressure environments.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including experience with conflict resolution and collaboration with physicians, administrators, health plans, and clinical staff.
- Data and Technology Proficiency: Strong analytical skills and experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and performance-tracking tools.
- Care Coordination: Experience developing and implementing individualized care plans and coordinating services among providers, health plans, specialists, and community-based organizations.
