We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will support the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting while helping ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment. You will gain exposure to core accounting functions, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to process improvements as the organization scales.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger analyses.
  • Support the monthly and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances and trends.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with external audits and provide supporting documentation.
  • Be a versatile team player that can perform various tasks ranging from routine close procedures to ad-hoc projects, including providing support across various departments as well as for external requests (e.g. external audit).
  • Learn our system infrastructure and help identify ways to automate routine tasks using AI and modern accounting tools.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required

  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience with accounting systems (experience with NetSuite, Workiva, and Blackline a plus) and strong Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work with geographically distributed teams

Preferred

  • Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or top-tier firm)
  • Strong academic performance and demonstrated leadership
  • Internship experience in a fast-paced or multi-entity environment
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred

Austin, TX or Miami, FL

Occasional travel may be required as needed.

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely utilizes standard equipment, including laptop computers and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 25 pounds.  

This is a full-time position. General hours and days of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some nights and weekends may be required.
