Responsibilities

The Data Center Security Specialist is responsible for the implementation and enforcement of Physical Security standards and policy in CoreWeave’s data center spaces.  The candidate will  manage facility access policies, conduct audits, and be the administrator for access requests and revocations.  The Data Center Security Specialist will be a liaison between CoreWeave and our collocation partners and will advocate for the highest level of security to protect CoreWeave’s personnel, infrastructure, and intellectual property.  The candidate will create and implement training programs for CoreWeave’s employees as well as our visitors and contractors.  

To be successful as a Data Center Security Specialist, you must have an in-depth knowledge of Physical Security principles and be passionate about making our facilities more secure.  CoreWeave is searching for a candidate with a broad background in Physical Security and a commitment to continuing education and improvement.  Desired skills include strong organizational discipline, writing skills, and comfort with public speaking.  Top candidates will have an amiable personality and an aptitude for customer service.  

The position will require up to 20% travel throughout Europe to oversee site security and conduct training sessions. Travel across the European Union is a requirement of this role. Candidates must be able to travel freely and undertake work activities within the EU member states without the need for additional visas.   

About the Role

  • Administer day-to-day physical security policies at CoreWeave data centers
  • Manage facility access requests, approvals, and revocations following the “least privilege” principle
  • Produce timely audit reports and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with colocation partners to ensure consistent policy enforcement
  • Develop and deliver security training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Maintain a regular training schedule and ensure materials are accessible and up to date
  • Inspections & Audits
  • Conduct regular site tours and inspections
  • Produce inspection reports and track remediation actions to completion
  • Support investigations into physical security incidents as needed
  • Understand customer-specific security requirements
  • Join customer meetings to ensure CoreWeave’s practices align with their expectations
  • Day-to-day
  • Prepare documentation, presentations, and reports as required
  • Work with minimal supervision, maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Take on additional duties as needed
  • Stay current on new technologies, tools, and best practices

  • 2–5+ years of experience in data center security or at least 5+ years in a physical security-related role
  • Experience with access control, incident response, inspections, or similar areas
  • Education in security, IT, criminal justice, or a related field is helpful (not required)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
  • Comfortable using Mac/Windows/Google Workspace tools
  • Relevant experience from military, police, or public safety roles may be applicable

Nice to Have

  • Professional security certifications (e.g., PSP, CPP, CPTED)
  • IT or networking experience
  • Experience in security program design or project management

The base salary range for this role is €41,000.00 - €57,000.00. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
