Reporting directly to our Vice President of People, you'll play a key role in supporting every stage of the employee experience, from welcoming new team members and answering day-to-day questions to supporting payroll, benefits, recruiting, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with 2–5 years of HR experience who wants to broaden their knowledge while receiving direct mentorship and increasing responsibility as both the HR department and thecompany continue to grow.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Welcome new employees through a thoughtful, organized onboarding experience.
- →Coordinate new hire paperwork, equipment, system access, and onboarding sessions.
- →Serve as a trusted resource for employees by answering HR questions with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
- →Help interpret and administer company policies fairly and consistently.
- →Support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee information within Gusto.
- →Maintain organized HR records, I-9 documentation, leave tracking, and compliance files.
- →Coordinate recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and communication with candidates and hiring managers.
- →Assist employees with benefits questions and enrollment activities.
- →Prepare employee communications and organizational announcements.
- →Help coordinate employee recognition programs, celebrations, and engagement activities that strengthen our culture.
- →Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and recommend practical solutions.
- →Support special projects and continue expanding your HR knowledge as you grow into the role.
Requirements
~1 min read- 2–5 years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar HR operations role.
- Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals, including FMLA, FLSA, and ADA.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms; Gusto experience is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee information.
- Ability to work full-time onsite at our Louisville headquarters.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
