We are looking to add a Government & Industry Affairs Manager – Southern Cone to our team, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In this role, you will play a key part in developing and executing public policy and advocacy strategies across the Southern Cone region. You will work at the intersection of policy, business, and stakeholders—collaborating with internal teams and external partners to strengthen our license to operate, anticipate regulatory changes, and influence outcomes that support innovation and growth in agriculture.
This is a dynamic and high-impact position that offers the opportunity to build strategic relationships, shape policy discussions, and contribute to a sustainable and competitive agricultural ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
* Implement the Latin America Government & Industry Affairs strategy across the Southern Cone region.
* Translate regional policy priorities into actionable country-level advocacy plans.
* Monitor and analyze political, regulatory, and policy developments, providing timely insights to the business.
* Lead and execute advocacy initiatives related to:
* Freedom to operate and regulatory approvals
* Market access and trade policy
* Portfolio and pipeline support
* Regulatory frameworks and compliance
* Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, regulators, industry associations, and key stakeholders across the value chain.
* Represent Corteva in industry forums, coalitions, and working groups.
* Collaborate closely with Commercial, Regulatory, Legal, Communications, and R&D teams to integrate policy considerations into business decisions.
* Identify emerging risks and support the development of mitigation strategies in coordination with regional leadership.
* Manage external consultants and support budget planning and tracking.
* Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws, including anti-corruption standards.
Requirements
* 8–10 years of experience in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, or external relations.
* Experience in multinational companies, industry associations, or government is preferred.
* Strong understanding of the Argentine political and regulatory environment; regional experience is a plus.
* Proven ability to manage stakeholders and lead advocacy initiatives.
* Experience working in cross-functional and matrix organizations.
* Fluency in Spanish and English is required; Portuguese is a plus.
* Willingness to travel (~25%).
We are looking for a professional with strong strategic thinking, execution capabilities, and excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Someone who thrives in complex environments, builds trust-based relationships, and can translate policy insights into business impact.
If you enjoy working collaboratively across cultures and functions, influencing key decisions, and contributing to meaningful change in agriculture, we would love to hear from you
