Coupang is scaling the largest Offsite Ads program in Korea and expanding its global footprint. We empower advertisers and merchants to discover target consumers worldwide by leveraging Coupang's massive e-commerce ecosystem and premium traffic assets, such as Coupang Play. The Offsite Ads Engineering team is at the heart of this mission, building high-performance machine learning systems and models for advanced targeting, retrieval, ranking, and bidding at scale.

In this internship, you will gain hands-on experience building large-scale machine learning models for Ads retrieval and ranking. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to design and optimize advanced bidding algorithms for Real-Time Bidding (RTB) ecosystems." What You Will do 

• →Develop and improve machine learning models for Ads ranking and recommendation systems  
• →Design and build features for ranking algorithms using large-scale datasets  
• →Process and analyze billions of user interaction records and large-scale log data  
• →Contribute to scalable data pipelines and ML infrastructure (offline and real-time systems)  
• →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready solutions  
• →Debug search queries and analyze customer behavior to improve product outcomes 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field  
• Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or C++)  
• Foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles  
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts  
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment 
• Preferred Qualifications 
• Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost) 
• Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hive, Hadoop) 
• Experience with SQL and relational databases 
• Exposure to distributed systems or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) 
• Prior internship or research experience in ML, data engineering, or systems 
• Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ownership 
• Eligibility & Program Details 
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university during the internship 
• Preferred academic level: Sophomore, Junior, Senior 
• Internship Term: Summer 2026 (10-week program)
