Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide clinical intervention, counseling, assessment, and case management services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- →Support assessment and treatment of domestic abuse and child maltreatment cases.
- →Conduct psychosocial, safety, risk, needs, and other clinical assessments as appropriate.
- →Develop and monitor individualized treatment and safety plans.
- →Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, crisis intervention, advocacy, and clinical casework.
- →Provide secondary prevention services addressing domestic abuse, child maltreatment, and problematic sexual behavior in children and youth.
- →Deliver New Leader Orientation and annual training to commanders, first sergeants, organizational leadership, and key agencies.
- →Serve as a prevention facilitator and installation FAP representative for the Community Action Team and other community organizations.
- →Develop, promote, and implement FAP prevention programs under the direction and approval of the FAP Manager.
- →Develop social marketing and outreach strategies to increase awareness of family maltreatment prevention resources.
- →Identify family violence trends and collaborate with FAP personnel and community organizations to target prevention efforts.
- →Maintain accurate documentation of prevention activities and support required program reporting.
Requirements

- Must be eligible for and maintain required privileging within the Military Treatment Facility
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination in accordance with applicable contract and government requirements
- Education, Licensure, and Certifications:
- Must be a U.S.-licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- LCSW: Master's degree from a CSWE-accredited school
- LMFT: Master's degree from a COAMFTE-accredited Marriage and Family Therapy program, or an appropriately qualifying allied mental health degree with equivalent Marriage and Family Therapy study
- Must maintain the applicable unrestricted professional license
- Must meet all applicable clinical privileging requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must be a U.S.-licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Required Experience:
- LCSW: Two years of post-MSW experience within the last three years in a clinical/treatment setting
- LMFT: Two years of experience within the last two years as a marriage and family counselor
- Two years of full-time post-master's clinical counseling experience serving individuals who are abusive or abused
- Demonstrated group therapy facilitation or co-leadership experience
- Experience working with children, families, groups, professionals, and community agencies
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel within the assigned area for outreach, prevention, and community activities
- Ability to work in clinical, office, community, and other approved environments
- Work Environment:
- Work is performed in clinical, office, community, and outreach settings and may involve interaction with individuals and families experiencing sensitive or challenging circumstances
