Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Remove sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from fabricated parts using grinders, sanders, and hand tools to ensure components are safe and production-ready.
- →Clean, smooth, and prepare metal components for welding, coating, or assembly.
- →Work alongside CNC operators to learn proper deburring techniques, tool usage, and safety standards.
- →Conduct visual and tactile inspections to verify parts meet company quality standards.
- →Properly use and maintain grinders, sanding tools, and other equipment; ensure a clean and organized workspace.
- →Assist with general shop tasks, including material handling and basic support for CNC operations.
- →Track completed work and report defects or inconsistencies to supervisors.
Requirements
~3 min read- Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Trade school training or hands-on shop experience preferred
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a shop environment (noise, dust, and varying temperatures)
- Additional Requirements
- Safety Focus: Commitment to safety procedures and proper PPE usage
- Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Adaptability: Willingness to follow direction and assist in other areas
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve part defects or finishing issues
