Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, technical, computer, and prevention support to the Family Advocacy Program.
  • Support maltreatment intervention, NPSP, and secondary prevention components.
  • Manage and maintain applicable program computer resources and software.
  • Maintain automated data collection systems, including FAPNet, and ensure timely data entry.
  • Do not enter clinical data into FAPNet.
  • Work with the FAPM to manage program data related to patient satisfaction, recidivism, and clinical outcome measures.
  • Compile statistical data and prepare minutes, agendas, contact notes, notification letters, and other written communications.
  • Assist with administering, processing, and scoring data collection and measurement instruments.
  • Collaborate with the prevention team to support NPSP and other prevention activities.
  • Provide approved prevention services, briefings, educational presentations, and community activities.
  • Coordinate community prevention activities with the FAPM.
  • In the absence of a FAIS, provide orientation and annual training to Squadron Commanders and First Sergeants as directed by the FAPM.

Requirements

  • Citizenship:
    • S. citizenship is required based on contract requirements
  • Education:
    • Minimum associate's degree in education, Teacher Certification Program, Social Behavior, Human Behavior, Health Care, or a related qualifying field
  • Licensure & Certifications:
    • Must be a U.S. Registered Nurse (RN)
    • Must maintain a current, unrestricted U.S. state nursing license
    • Must not currently be under investigation for adverse action by a State Nursing Board
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from either:
      • The American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS) (Course C) or the American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/BLS (Heart Saver) Course
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a setting providing domestic abuse, child maltreatment, or mental health treatment
    • Experience developing educational curricula with defined learning objectives and outcomes
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and various databases and software programs
    • Experience developing educational curricula with defined learning objectives and outcomes
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Willingness to comply with the government vaccination requirements, reflected of CDC guidelines, for diseases including Hepatitis B, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, influenza, and proof of a negative TB skin test. This requirement is for any Family Advocacy Program personnel working with MTFs and requires personnel to receive the annual influenza vaccination.
