Responsibilities

  • Lead thorough, impartial investigations into employee complaints, allegations of misconduct, and potential policy violations; recommend and ensure completion of appropriate follow‑up actions.
  • Provide proactive guidance and coaching to leaders on employee‑relations matters, performance management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop, implement, and monitor performance improvement plans.
  • Promote positive employee relations by maintaining confidentiality, building trust, and balancing organizational and employee needs.
  • Support and manage the onboarding and separation processes to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience.
  • Execute HR programs, policies, and procedures aligned with company objectives and overall business strategy.
  • Partner with HR colleagues, Legal, leadership, and cross‑functional departments to promote consistent and compliant HR practices across operating companies.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend and develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining training programs that support organizational needs.
  • Ensure day‑to‑day HR practices comply with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Maintain strong and current knowledge of the Service Contract Act (SCA) and Davis‑Bacon Act (DBA) and ensure HR practices remain compliant.
  • Maintain visibility across the organization to foster strong employee‑management relationships, high morale, and a constructive culture.

Requirements

  • Education and Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • Active HR certification (SHRM‑CP, PHR, SHRM‑SCP, SPHR) a plus
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible HR experience; at least three (3) years in an HRBP or equivalent consultative role
    • Experience handling sensitive and complex employee relations matters from start to finish
    • Experience supporting SCA and DBA workforces preferred
    • Union or union represented workforce experience highly preferred
    • Government contracting experience strongly preferred
    • ANC/Tribal experience and/or 8(a) experience preferred
    • Experience with HRIS systems; Paycor preferred
  • Required Skill and Competencies
    • Strong knowledge of HR principles and federal/state labor laws
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
