Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Medical Records Management: Prepare and manage Notices of Intent that will be filed with the Court.
- →Tracking and Coordination: Request, track, and obtain medical records from providers, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of outstanding requests.
- →Redaction: Redact sensitive information from medical records to maintain privacy and comply with legal standards.
- →Organizational Excellence: Maintain organized and up-to-date records necessary for case preparation and demand.
- →Communication: Coordinate with providers and internal teams via email and phone to provide updates and clarify needs.
- →Case Support: Support in-office medical assistants by managing around 15–20 cases per week, facilitating their focus on client support.
- →Status Reporting: Provide clear written updates (email/Filevine) on what’s in progress, what’s completed, and what’s blocked—supporting a structured workflow with daily visibility.
- Experience: 2-3 years in personal injury legal field with a focus on medical records.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Filevine, Microsoft Office, and email communications.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal skills. Spanish-English bilingual REQUIRED (many clients and providers communicate in Spanish).
- Detail Orientation: High levels of attention to detail and confidentiality when handling sensitive documents.
- Work Ethic: Self-directed with reliable follow-through, capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Schedule: Full-time, aligned to El Paso (Mountain Time) business hours – typically 8:30 AM–5:30 PM MT.
- Reports to: Office Manager. Works closely with the firm’s 3 in-office Medical Assistants (Medical Records team)
