This is an opportunity for a Controller who enjoys being close to the business. You’ll lead the accounting team, own the financial close and reporting process, strengthen controls, improve systems and processes, and partner directly with leadership to turn financial information into better business decisions.
We’re looking for someone who can think strategically but isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. If you enjoy building stronger processes, developing teams, solving complex accounting issues, and creating financial discipline in a fast-moving environment, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Own- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial results, trends, margins, and variances and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and working-capital management, including accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Coordinate external audits and support tax and other financial reporting requirements.
- Partner with operational leaders to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team while establishing clear expectations and accountability.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes.
- Support the implementation and optimization of ERP, accounting, and financial reporting systems.
- Help build scalable financial processes that support the continued growth of the business.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- At least 4 years of accounting leadership or management experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated application of U.S. GAAP.
- Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Strong experience with month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash management.
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, internal controls, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with both finance and operational teams.
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing, automotive, wholesale, or another inventory-intensive business.
- Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-entity organization.
- Experience implementing or optimizing ERP and financial systems.
- Experience improving accounting processes and internal controls in a growing organization.

You’ll work closely with leadership, have visibility across the organization, and have the opportunity to make improvements that have a direct and measurable impact on the business.
