We are now looking for a Business Domain Manager, Manufacturing to build and maintain deep understanding of customer needs and to organize the overall management and prioritization of the activities in the Manufacturing domain.

Manufacturing domain includes organizations involved in producing physical goods or components, including sectors like machinery, robotics and physical AI, automotive and autonomous vehicles, electronics, and industrial equipment.

The Business Domain Manager will define value propositions to the target domain to address the specific needs and pain points and to attract and engage potential customers effectively. In this role you will also manage selected advanced customer projects by helping customers to understand and navigate the provided AI and HPC resources, tools and services.

You will collaborate closely with Customer Managers of our Industry team who are responsible of the day-to-day sales operations especially to industry customers.

You will ensure the LUMI AI Factory's approach towards the Manufacturing business domain customers is aligned (e.g., in form of customer interactions process and messages of the service offering).

Essential part of your job is to participate in selected business domain initiatives and networks to shape the Manufacturing ecosystem nationally and internationally (such as EU programs). You may organize events in the business domain to foster collaboration with LUMI AI Factory stakeholders and facilitate new partnerships for AI projects.

Please note this is an expert role without line managerial responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Organize and prioritize activities in the Manufacturing business domain

• Define value propositions to the target domain and ensure the LUMI AIF approach towards the business domain customers is aligned

• Manage selected advanced customer projects and collaborate closely with the Customer (Sales) Managers of our Industry team

• Facilitate new partnerships for AI projects and participate in selected business domain initiatives and networks to shape the Manufacturing ecosystem nationally and internationally

What we expect

To be successful in the role, you need:

• Deep knowledge, experience, and networks in one or more of the specific application areas in the Manufacturing business domain

• Experience in customer interfacing work (e.g., solution sales, consulting), especially with companies (startups/SMEs/big industry)

• Capability to create the big picture that involves business, regulatory and technical perspectives

• Solution-oriented, systematic working approach, but flexibility to adapt to changes

• Excellent networking, team working and communication skills in verbal and written English are essential for teamwork and collaboration with our partners

• Master's degree in a relevant field

We also value:

• Experience in working as part of international multi-partner projects is considered a benefit (e.g., Horizon Europe)

• Know-how of AI/HPC services and tools is also favored

The LUMI AI Factory produces a cutting-edge infrastructure designed to bolster Europe's leadership in AI by seamlessly integrating world-class computing power, high-value data, and a Service Center with top-tier talent to support the rapid development of AI solutions and AI-driven projects.
